Shrek & Donkey In Saucy Photo Shoot
As it turns out, Alexander McQueen was working on a men’s underwear line around the time of his death last month. Now, the McQueen label has decided to further the deceased designer’s vision and launch a new line in June. The new collection will retail roughly from £35 for a pair of underwear to a massive £350 for a pajama set. Furthermore, the collection will feature the typical McQueen skulls and bones, but it will also expand into military-style pajama sets and swimwear in 2011.
The Alexander McQueen label has already been stirring controversy in April’s edition of VMan Magazine. Barely-clothed models appear next to the popular movie franchise Shrek’s characters. Princess Fiona, Donkey, The Ginger Bread Man, and of course Shrek himself are seen posing in VMan’s sexual shoot.
In one shot in this VMan Magazine Spread, Donkey, voiced by Eddie Murphy in theaters, is shown cuddling with a model in seductive lingerie from Agent Provocateur while a man without a shirt lies on a bed in the background. The shot has been causing a stir due to it’s sexual references, as critics of VMan Magazine say it is referring to an encounter between all three characters.
Shrek and Princess Fiona, voiced by Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz, are also seen posing with male and female models who are wearing suggestive leather and denim outfits. While DreamWorks executives admit they regret allowing the characters to appear in the shoot, VMan Magazine certainly achieved the publicity they were searching for.
