It was announced today that actress Penelope Cruz will be teaming up with her sister Monica Cruz to design a line of lingerie for the designer lingerie brand Agent Provocateur which is expected to be a long term partnership. The sisters have previously worked together modelling a range at Mango and Monica Cruz has worked with the brand previously as a model for the Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign.

Penelope Cruz stated “We have always been huge fans of Agent Provocateur and both of us are very much looking forward to this long term collaboration.”

The line of Agent Provocateur has already been named as the L’Agent diffusion line and is expected to be made up of of 15 different pieces covering bras, briefs and even corsets. Excitement is building in regards to the collection but it is not due to hit the stores until August 2013 and be an important part of the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection which means that there is quite a wait to be had before we get to see what the girls have created.

One main selling point this particular line will have is the cost, set to be significantly more affordable than the rest of the Agent Provocateur collections, opening it up to more women who are looking for luxury and stylish underwear.

Penelope Cruz joins the likes of Kelly Brook and Rosie Huntington Whiteley who have both made the successful move from modelling to designing lingerie with collections in New Look and Marks and Spencer respectively.
