oxford fashion week 150x150 Lovely Lingerie at the Oxford Fashion WeekFashion weeks are usually a vehicle for up and coming designers to reveal their latest collection of clothes rather than what is beneath them.

However, this week at Oxford fashion week a lucky audience was treated to a delightful evening of lingerie shows.

According to the Oxford Mail, earlier this week Oxford’s luxurious Malmasion Hotel was transformed into a glamorous Moulin Rouge inspired boudoir, complete with plenty of ladies dressed in an array of burlesque style undies.

In fact there were more than 60 different sets of lingerie paraded down the catwalk on Wednesday night, courtesy of designers from various different countries across Europe.

Yet in spite of the fact that designers had flown from places such as Stockholm and Milan to present their work at the Oxford Fashion Week lingerie show, many onlookers agreed that it was local lingerie designer Dimple Rani Lal who stole the show with her Chemistry collection.

Amazingly Dimple Rani Lal only started making her handmade lingerie three years ago and the Chemistry collection is the former costume designer’s very first lingerie collection.

Dimple Rani Lal’s beautiful capes and corsets were selected for the finale of the whole show – not bad going considering Dimple was simply sat in the audience last year!
