Lingerie Model’s Promise to Run Naked!
Clearly, the World Cup has been sending people a little bit dotty, with the desperation for their national team to succeed prompting many football fans to do some rather bizarre things.
The Slovenian Prime Minister promised to clean his team’s football boots if they win the World Cup; in Korea only the matches that the Korean team win are being broadcast on television; and here in the UK we have a football fan so dedicated to our doomed team that he transformed his back garden into a stadium, complete with turnstiles, stands and a tunnel!
The latest football fan to promise some strange behaviour in return for their team’s victory is Paraguayan lingerie model Larissa Riquelme, who has promised to run naked with her body “painted with the colours of Paraguay” if her national team manages to win the World Cup.
Riquelme made this perhaps rash promise following Paraguay’s World Cup success on Tuesday, when they defeated Japan on penalties, knocking the Japanese out of the competition and placing themselves in the quarter finals.
Despite the number of football fans who would no doubt enjoy seeing a lingerie model running around naked, the chances of this happening are greatly reduced by the fact that Paraguay face Spain on Saturday.
