Corsets on the Court
We all know that lingerie has been rather popular in the fashion world lately, with more and more designers bringing underwear out of the bedroom to be worn as every day fashion items.
Many celebrities have been seen stepping out in just corsets and bras, whilst lingerie inspired lacy items are everywhere in the shops at the moment.
Yet whilst some fashion trends disappear as soon as they arrive, the popularity of lingerie-inspired items is not going to wane any time soon. Not only are the shops still stacked with lacy goodness, but it would appear that the lingerie look has made it as far as the tennis courts!
On Sunday Venus Williams stunned crowds by heading onto the courts wearing a black and red lacy tennis dress that looked suspiciously like something that you would find in one of the saucier corners of your local lingerie store.
This tennis dress was made up of a black lacy corset style top with piped red trimming and a frilly black lacy tutu skirt – rather more ‘can-can’ than court side.
To add to the impact, Venus also wore clever little undergarment that gave stunned spectators the illusion that she was baring her behind.
