Bed Bugs Badger NYC Victoria Secret Store
Bed bugs were mostly eradicated from the USA in the 50s, however infestations have continued to occur in New York City as it unsurprisingly proved impossible to rid the city of the bugs altogether.
Bed bug infestations are something that you would perhaps associate with hotels and youth hostels, as urban myth suggests that high traffic environments are favoured by the blood hungry bugs.
However, it seems that in New York the annoying little critters have recently taken a liking to some of the city’s favourite shops.
Recently there was a report of bed bugs being found at the flagship store of Hollister, the hip young branch of clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch. The store – found in the city’s Soho district – was forced to close its doors to deal with the extermination of the bed bugs.
Now it would seem that the beg bugs have changed their tastes, moving away from hip clothing and moving on instead to some seriously sexy lingerie – well who could blame them really?
Victoria’s Secret’s Lexington Avenue store was this week forced to close temporarily to deal with the bed bug infestation. Apparently the store is now bug free!
