Alexander Wang First Lingerie Collection
This season’s underwear as outerwear trend has made things very exciting in the world of lingerie. Knowing that ladies are showing off their underwear, lingerie designers are trying harder and harder to make sure their items are worth revealing in broad daylight.
This trend is also credited with encouraging a number of previously ‘clothes only’ designers into taking their first steps into the wonderful world of lingerie, one of which is the talented Alexander Wang.
Wang’s first lingerie collection is made up of typically simple yet stylish pieces, all available in black, white or grey. The range includes a one shouldered bra, a regular bra with a low plunging V at the front and low waisted boy shorts, all fashioned from a soft jersey material.
One suspects that in creating this line Wang intended for these pieces to be seen rather than hidden under clothes, as they all effortlessly ooze a sense of ‘cool’.
The new lingerie collection is part of Wang’s relatively purse-friendly T by Alexander Wang range. The collection only launched on his website earlier this week but a number of styles have already sold out, so you will have to be quick if you want in on the action.
